Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company,  is a full service industrial hydraulic, robotic, mechanical, electronic, and servo control repair and exchange facility. We currently have a great opportunity for a Purchasing Agent/Buyer based at our Warren, MI location.

We are specifically looking for a detailed oriented buyer who possesses a drive to achieve in a fast-paced work environment.  Your success in the role will be dependent on your skills and ability to:

• Analyze technical data in supplier's proposals
• Ensure suppliers are meeting shipping deadlines
• Receive purchase orders
• Negotiate the lowest prices
• Prepare and place purchase orders
• Monitor inventory levels
• Reorder all inventory as required

General Education and Experience

Education--Associates Degree Preferred (Technical, Marketing or Business); high school diploma/G.E.D. minimum.  Computer software literacy (Excel, Word, etc.) required.
Experience--Inventory and/or purchasing supply chain management experience in manufacturing or distribution. 1 to 3 years in fluid power related industry preferred. 
Skills—Must demonstrate strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
